  • Returns Information
    • For Distance (online & Mail Order) Selling:
    •  “Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014, a customer is allowed to return an item if they simply change their mind. A customer has the right to cancel at any time from the moment they place their online order, and up to 14 days from the day they receive the goods. The customer then has a further 14 days from the date they notify the retailer of their cancellation to return the goods. -There are exemptions to online returns which include tailor made/personalised goods.”
    • For Faulty Goods:
    • “Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a customer has an early right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. This right is limited to 30 days from the date you took ownership of the goods. If an item is faulty and needs to be returned, you not need to pay postage costs for the return of the faulty item. “
    • If a customer is asked to return an item that arrived damaged, not as described or faulty, the retailer should refund the total cost of the return.

Returns Policy

Your statutory rights are not affected by our Returns Policy. To the extent that any provision in our Returns Policy conflicts with your statutory rights, your statutory rights will prevail and the particular offending provision in our Returns Policy will be deemed inapplicable. 

Returns (refunds and exchanges) 

If you are unhappy with your item, please let us know. Our Returns Policy gives you 30 days to return or exchange an item bought ONLINE with a valid receipt. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a refund or exchange, goods must be returned in a re-saleable condition. That means your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. The item must be in the original packaging and returned with any accessories, labels and “free gifts” or bonus items. 

To complete your refund or exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. 

Refunds (if applicable) 

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

Deposit's paid on Bikes are NONE refundable.

There will be a re-stocking charge of 20% if you request a refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 calendar days. If you paid for standard delivery of the goods, the cost of standard delivery will also be refunded. 

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable): 

    Any item not in its original condition, which is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error; and 
    Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery. 

Under the Consumer Rights Act you have an early right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund (excluding the re stocking fee). Bikes can not be returned once used, or if the bike has been ordered by special request. 

But this right is limited to 30 days from the date you took ownership of the goods (this could be the date of purchase or the date the goods were delivered to you - whichever is later). 

After the initial 30 days, you can't demand a full refund in the first instance, but you still have the right to a repair or replacement.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable) 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchange (if applicable)

To return your product, please mail your product to: CBC Car Spares & Bike Store, 12 Stanley Road, Oldbury West Midlands B68 0DY with your details and reason for returning. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item, unless the item is faulty. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. 

Right to cancel 

In addition to our Returns Policy, if you are a customer in the European Union you have the right to cancel your contract with us and receive a full refund within 14 calendar days from the day after the date you received your order, if you are an online, mail or telephone order customer. If the goods are delivered in several instalments then it will be 14 calendar days from receipt of the last instalment. To exercise your right to cancel the contract you must request a refund in writing within 14 calendar days of receipt of the items. The refund will include any standard delivery charges paid. You will be responsible for the cost of returning a cancelled order to us.

Any Deposits paid for bikes, accessories or any other products can not be refunded, this applies for purchases over the phone OR instore.

We will refund to you the price paid for the items and (unless you did not pay for delivery) the delivery charges that you paid up to a maximum amount of the cost of our standard delivery option. You will be refunded to your original method of payment within 30 calendar days of our receipt of the cancelled items or, if earlier, within 14 days from the day we receive proof of return from you. If we do not receive the cancelled items back, we may arrange to collect them from you at your cost.

Bikes collected from our shop are fully assembled. Those sold by mail order will be dispatched in box form. These bikes will require some assembly due to packaging. If you are not skilled in this, then we advise employing the service of a skilled bike mechanic to perform this task. We do not accept liability for any faults, damage, or injury caused by the incorrect assembly of mail order bikes.

The frames and forks on the bikes we sell are guaranteed against manufacturing, or material defects for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase.

Provided the bicycle has been properly cared for, maintained and used and has not been fitted with parts other than the manufacturers approved spare part. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, alteration, accident, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, racing, stunt riding, or commercial use (e.g. Hiring).

Regular service is recommended to ensure road worthiness and to prolong the life of your bicycle.

Bikes are guaranteed for normal off road use. Activities such as "Wheelies", stunt riding or jumping constitutes misuse and will invalidate this guarantee.

Electric bikes and scooters have a 12 month guarantee on their motors & battery.   Should a claim be required your bike/scooter will have to be returned to the manufacture for the fault to be verified.  These products are resistant to water and not water proof.  Extreme water contamination  will void the guarantee.  Electric scooters are not designed for off road and/or dirt track use and/or stunts and drops.

In the event of a guarantee claim, please contact us first with your problem and have your original invoice at hand. Proof of Purchase is The Owners Responsibility for all items purchased on this website.

Automotive Parts -

Automotive electrical parts such as spark plugs, ignition leads, coil packs, distributors, distributor components, alternators, starter motors, etc. cannot be ordered for fault finding purposes and then returned back to us. These type of parts which are sent back to us will be checked and/or tested before a refund is made. If no fault is found then we will be unable to offer you a refund, but would send you the parts back, at the cost of a further delivery charge. We obviously advise you to make sure you determine the correct fault on your car, before ordering these types of parts.

Unless stated otherwise, parts are guaranteed for 12 months/20,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Guarantees will be void due to any external faults, or if there is evidence of misuse of the product by the customer. Faulty products will be replaced free of charge. This guarantee covers defects to the part when fitted and used correctly for normal, everyday vehicle use but does not apply to parts used for any extraordinary or unusual uses such as taxis, competition, racing, rallying or parts subsequently stripped down, altered, modified or adapted etc. in any way from their original design or intended use.

You should notify us immediately if a potential warranty situation arises. We will then advise a course of action. Any suspected faulty part must be returned to us together with the original invoice or proof of purchase and with as much information relating to the problem as possible. Please note that a defective part must be returned and received by us before it can be exchanged. All warranty parts are subject to a physical inspection. This may involve returning the part to our supplier to verify the fault before it can be exchanged.
Defective items are backed 100% and can be returned for exchange only.

Our warranty only covers the parts in question and not to any consequential loss or cost, eg garage labour, recovery, car hire, re-delivery, parking fines etc. No claim will be validated if the failure is caused by mis-use, neglect, overheating, incorrect installation or failure of a related component.

Ownership of goods will remain with CBC Car Spares until payment is received in full.

Delivery Instructions

The buyer must enter there address in full and include a contact telephone number for the delivery address they have provided. We cannot be held responsible for parcels which go missing due to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

Deliveries under 2kg are sent by Royal Mail. Orders over 2kg are sent by APC. Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, UK Islands and EU orders are despatched by Royal Mail, or DHL. International deliveries under 2Kg are sent by Royal Mail Air Mail Service.

We advise checking parcel contents before signing courier delivery notes, as it is harder to prove that an item is damaged if you have signed it received in good condition.

Claims for lost parcels must be made within 14 days of the date of invoice. We reserve the right to investigate claims of loss and/or damage, before issuing refunds/replacements.

Our Bike suppliers are continually developing their product range and therefore reserve the right to alter components and specifications without notice.

Shop Collection Website Orders

Customers who wish to pay for goods on-line and then collect from our store can do this with Paypal payments and Paypal Pay Later payments onlyOrders must be collected by the person who made the Paypal transaction and they will have to do the following -

  • Provide photographic ID which has their address on.  This must correspond to the address associated to their Paypal account.
  • A collection form will need to be completed and signed at the point of collecting your goods.
  • We will photograph you with the goods you have ordered and collected.
  • This information will be held by us during the duration of Paypal's charge back duration period - 180 days.
  • We are only able to hold products at our store for a maximum of 7days.

Acceptance of goods is deemed acceptance of these terms.
